W 2021 roku parlament Alberty, doceniając wkład Polonii w rozwój Alberty, ogłosił każdą drugą
niedzielę czerwca „Dniem Polsko-Kanadyjskiego Dziedzictwa w Albercie”.
W tym roku po raz pierwszy uroczystości odbędą się w Edmonton, Calgary i Grande Prairie.
Celebracja „Dnia Polsko-Kanadyjskiego Dziedzictwa w Albercie” będzie nie tylko okazją do pokazania
całej społeczności Alberty naszych osiągnięć na emigracji, ale także naszą kulturę, tradycję oraz
przybliżyć zmiany jakie zaszły w Polsce mieszkańcom Alberty.
Zapraszamy więc do aktywnego uczestnictwa: organizacje polonijne, polskie szkoły, kluby tańca,
harcerzy, artystów, biznesy.
Celebracja w Edmonton odbędzie dnia 12 czerwca, 2022 w godzinach od 14:00 do 22:00 na trenie
parlamentu Alberty, gdzie w 2021 został odsłonięty pomnik pięciu fal emigracji Polaków do Alberty.
Przed obchodami celebrowana będzie w intencji Polonii Msza sw w kościele Różańca sw. o godzinie

To honour Albertans of Polish Heritage, who for over the past 136 years have dedicated
themselves to building our great Province, the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in 2021 adopted
Bill 207 confirming that each year the second Sunday of June will be known as the Polish-
Canadian Heritage Day in our Province.
This year, the second Sunday of June is June 12th and celebrations will take place in Edmonton,
Calgary, and Grande Prairie.
“Polish-Canadian Heritage Day” is an opportunity not only to showcase our achievements to all
Albertans, but also share our wonderful culture, traditions, and introduce the many positive
changes that have taken place in Poland since that first democratic election held on the second
Sunday in June in 1989.
We invite you to participate: Polish organizations, Polish schools, dance groups, scouts, artists,
businesses.
The event in Edmonton will take place on June 12, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 22:00 pm at the
Alberta Legislative grounds (10800-97 Ave). Before the celebrations, a Holy Mass will be
celebrated in the Holy Rosary Church at 12:15 PM.
In Calgary, the event will be held at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (2111 Uxbridge
Dr.NW).
In Grande Prairie, the event will be held at Muskoseepi Park (102 Str – 102 Ave).
