November 11, 2018 – It is Centennial marking 100 years of gaining independence of Poland and founding of other European countries: Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and Yugoslavia.
Canadian Polish Society in collaboration with our partners from local Polish, Czech, Austrian, Hungarian, Slovaks, Serbs, Croatian and also Germans and Ukrainians communities organizing on November 04, 2018 – 100 Years of Independence presentation and music.
There will be opening of the exhibition “First Polish settlers in Alberta”. The event is open to the general public and free of charge.
Therefore, Honourable Ricardo Miranda MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM, HEREBY DECLARED NOVEMBER 11, 2018, A DAY TO COMMEMORATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF POLAND’S INDEPENDENCE IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA.
Polish Canadian Society, established in 1927, the oldest Polish organization in Alberta is inviting general public, and other ethnic groups for our Centennial celebration, at the Polish Hall November 04, 2018 at 2 pm.
